If this is not so, it will damage your device beyond repair and may also invalidate its warranty. The update requires that you are using the correct firmware version supported by your device's model number. What will happen if I download the wrong update? If your router does not update firmware, you must repeat the procedure by selecting Update Firmware in the Nighthawk App or through the router's web interface. Remember: These issues arise when the update fails.
